Pollyanne Barnes Obituary

Pollyanne Mobley Barnes, born March 22, 1941, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 26, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Polly and Jack Mobley; and her sister Jackie Collins and brother Jon Mobley. She is survived by her husband Harold Barnes; son Hal Barnes (Elizabeth), daughter Kathy Fulk (Keith); grandchildren Marianne Morawiec (Josh), Michelle Hartness (John), Harry Barnes, and Elise Barnes; great-grandchildren Mackenzie Morawiec, and Blake Morawiec; and her sister Carol Littleton.

A native of Atlanta Georgia and longtime Cobb County resident, Pollyanne graduated from O'Keefe High School. After marrying Harold, she devoted herself to being a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. Pollyanne and Harold celebrated 63 years of marriage. Pollyanne was a lifelong woman of faith. She was a devoted member of St. James Episcopal Church in Marietta GA, where she had been active for 40+ years. Her service and love for others left an enduring mark on her church and community.

Above all Pollyanne faithfully cared for her family and friends, leaving a legacy of kindness, faith, and strength. She was a great mentor and graciously supported others.

Pollyanne had many hobbies and was a talented artist with numerous beautiful and inspiring oil paintings to her credit.

A private gravesite funeral service with her immediate family was held at 1:00pm on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Rolling Hills Memorial Gardens in Acworth, GA. A celebration of life service will be scheduled in the upcoming months. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered support, prayers, and love during this time.
