Born August 3, 1935, to Frank and Thelma Worthington in Charlotte, North Carolina passed into heaven on July 2, 2022. Thomas is survived by his WIFE: Judy. CHILDREN: Thomas Lynn Worthington Jr. (Wife Joy), Lynda Phanco (husband Stephen), Lori Savage (husband Jimmy), and Karen Worthington. GRANDCHILDREN: Michael & Anna (husband Grant), Amanda & Christopher Worthington, and Evan & Ansley Savage. GREAT GRANDCHILDREN: Raylee & Jack Phanco and Teddy Garlock. NEPHEW: Ed (wife-Ruth) Worthington. GREAT NEPHEW: Ken (wife-Lisa) Worthington daughter Kenley. Tom graduated from Georgia Tech University in 1957 and served in the United States Army from 1957 - 1963. He retired from Norfolk Southern Railways in 1995 after 30 years of service. Tom was a very talented woodworker and carver. He took immaculate care of his 1956 Ford (Gus) which was his pride and joy. He was the best husband, father, friend, kindest, and most generous man. Tom could fix anything. He was dearly loved beyond words and was a true gentleman. He loved Jesus with all his heart, and he will surely welcome us with a beautiful smile when we see him in heaven one day. Visitation will be held at Southern Cremations and Funerals 1861 Dallas NW. Marietta, Ga 3064 on July 8, 2022, from 10:00 am til 11:00 am followed by the service at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers donations to the Calvary Children's Home - calvarykids.org would be appreciated.

Tom was one of the most upbeat, helpful people I met when I first entered the Atlanta office of Southern Railway Company. He will be missed by all that knew him.
