Antoinette Ridge Obituary
October 3, 1938 - June 12, 2023
Merced, California - Antoinette Yvonne Ridge, 84, of Merced Ca, passed away peacefully on June 12th, 2023.
Tonie was born on October 3rd 1938 to Robert and Coral Armstrong in Sacramento, Ca.
Tonie met Allen Ridge on a blind date at a high school dance in 1953. She graduated from Merced High in 1956.
Tonie and Allen went on to marry and have two boys; Mark and Bruce, both of which she treasured.
Tonie enjoyed multiple hobbies such as bowling, coin collecting, cooking, hosting parties. She was also very adventurous and loved to travel all over the globe.
Tonie's employment history included bank teller, realtor, travel agent, and walkathon coordinator. She also volunteered at Mercy Hospital and for the Voters Registrar.
Tonie was preceded in death by Allen, her husband of 60 years. Her brother Robert Armstrong, cousin Rusty Bell and daughter in law Patricia Ridge. She is survived by her sister Candice Armstrong, son Mark Ridge (Nicole), son Bruce Ridge. 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson.
Services will be held at Stratford Evans Funeral Home in Merced on July 28th at 11am.

My Aunt Tonie was special and mysterious. I had never seen someone who looked so beautiful, perfect makeup and hair. She always smelled good, and was dressed up. I grew up a messy tomboy with two brothers, and wished I was more like her. Aunt Tonie was kind, never ruffled or upset. She spoiled me as the only girl, and I felt special. Still can´t believe she´s gone, but I know she´s with Uncle Allen, Bob, Patricia, my dad, and other loved ones. God bless her.
