Benjamin Warkentin Obituary

Benjamin Franklin Warkentin was born in Winton on December 3, 1928. He was also raised in Winton and educated in the local schools, graduating from Merced High School in 1946.
Benjamin married Laura Anna Koop December 11, 1949 who passed away March 17, 1972.
Ben spent many years driving truck but he also worked as a plumber, construction worker and electrician. He was a DJ for KAMB, Christian Radio, for some years and enjoyed his ushering "job" at his church.
Benjamin married Mary Beatrice Friel in February 1998. Mary passed away this February 2015.
He is survived by his 3 daughters, Ruth Ranck, Twila White, Patricia Luster and, one son, Ballard Warkentin. Cody Zander was also Ben's step-son. There are 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
There will be a viewing at Ivers & Alcorn in Atwater on April 27, 2015 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm and a graveside service at the Winton Cemetery April 28, 2015 at 10:30 am.
