Winton, California - Bobbie Lee Pryor was born on December 8, 1948 in Dos Palos, California. He passed away after losing his battle with cancer on June 29, 2021 in Turlock, California at the age of 72.
Bobbie proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Upon his return, he pursued a career in teaching and was a teacher for over 30 years. He was a coach and mentor for over 40 years, of which he enjoyed every single minute. Bobbie loved hunting every single year, and he also enjoyed fishing, camping and playing golf. Bobbie was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be forever loved and missed dearly by his family and friends.
Bobbie is survived by his loving wife Rachel Pryor; children, Natalie Pryor of Nottingham, England, Michael Pryor of Norfolk, Virginia, Christina Pryor of Merced, California. He also leaves behind his brothers, Bill Pryor, Larry Pryor, Harvey Pryor and his two grandchildren, Serena Marie Pedretti and Mylah Brielle Pryor.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2021 beginning at 10:00a.m. at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, 1490 B Street, Merced, California with interment to follow at Plainsburg Cemetery, 8943 Gillette Avenue, Merced, California 95341. In lieu of flowers, the family requests support of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network with a donation in his memory.
