Charles Lindsey Obituary

Charles Franklin Lindsey Jr. was born July 29, 1926 in Anadarko, Oklahoma to Charles and Pernetta Lindsey and passed away June 5, 2008 in Boise, Idaho at the age of 81 years.
Bud served in the United States Navy during World War II in the Asiatic Pacific for two years. He worked at Merced Dairy
and Ice Company before enlisting in the Navy at the age of 18. His passion in life was his children, his family, his dog Buddy, fishing, camping, making new friends and restoring boats and cars. He spent most of his life in Merced and retired in Boise, Idaho. He was a great man, a dedicated son, a devoted and loving father to his four girls, a wonderful grandfather, a loving brother and good friend to all who knew him. His family is deeply greatful to all the nurses and doctors at St. Lukes Hospital in Meridian, Idaho for all their dedicated and compassionate care they provided him.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene Lindsey; parents, Charles and Pernetta Lindsey; daughter, Kathy Wing; and sister Alma Nolan.
He is survived by his daughters, Regina LIversedge of Idaho, Mary Dean Lindsey-Payton of Idaho and Denise Moulson Lindsey of Arizona; brother, Dan Lindsey of Susanville; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Merced District Cemetery.
“May his soul be at peace, may his memory be with us for ever, with love in our hearts, you will be missed “you ol'e fisherman”.

My condolences to the Lindsey family. Grandpa "Bud" was a wonderful man who always had a smile and he could bring a smile to anyone. Grandpa Bud was one of those people that you really enjoyed being around. I enjoyed hearing him tell some of his life stories. Especially stories of him and my Grandpa Doyle Newman. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. GOD BLESS With Love,
