Donald Wery Obituary
July 9, 1952 - March 28, 2024
Merced, California - On March 28, 2024, Donald lost his 20 year battle with cancer and went home to his Father. He was a great man who will be truly missed.
Donald served in the Air Force for 4 years before moving into a local tax firm, finally establishing his own tax business in Merced in 1989. Retiring 30 years later in 2019, he was able to spend long awaited time with his wife of 48 years, Merle Ladene Wery.
Donald leaves behind his lovely wife, Merle as well as daughter - Shelly Bobrowski, sons - Joseph (Kelli), Gary (Donna) & Anthony Tessaro, and grandchildren - Tanya (Tavid) Markarian, Brandi (Ryan) Bobrowski, Tiffany (Jeremy) Amo, and 3 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. Donald is also survived by his three siblings - Patricia Petersen, Nancy (Joe) DesJardin, & Randy Wery.
Donald's loved ones would like to extend their gratitude to daughter, Shelly who cared for his needs throughout this difficult battle as well as his hospice nurses - Mary & Maria.
A Viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 3pm - 7pm at
Evergreen Funeral Chapel
1480 B St. Merced, CA
Funeral Services will be announced at a later date.

We made a visit in 2019 to see the Wery's. I was told, in no uncertain terms, that the torrential downpour in Merced was because it was brought by me from Indiana (per Ladene). Funny thing, everyone but me was invited back. lol.
