Born July 24th, 1992 in Merced, CA to Glenda Morgan. Adopted on December 30th, 1996 by Clemmie Cooksey Sr. and Barbara Cooksey of Merced, CA. Donivan attended Valley High School in Merced, CA. Donivan was very artistic, he enjoyed rapping and drawing. He was a devoted son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend. On August 17th, 2011, God called Donivan home to Heaven. He always had a smile on his face and brought joy to everyone he came in contact with and he always knew how to make people laugh.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother Barbara Cooksey of Merced, CA. Four brothers, Clemmie Cooksey Jr., Charnelle Cooksey., Isaac Tucker, Isaha Tucker and one brother-in-law Jerel Stephans of St. Louis, MO. Six sisters Dana Stephens of St. Louis, MO, Terriana Cooksey, Andrea Cooksey, Misty Cooksey, Glenda Tucker, Naomi Tucker and one sister-in-law Tamara Cooksey of Merced, CA. Grandparents Timothy and Myrtle Cooksey of Atwater, CA. He also had a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and fiends who will miss him dearly. Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 26, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Matthew Baptist Church, 1057 "N" St. in Merced. Pastor Jerry Huey will officiate. Burial will follow at Winton Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Whitton Family Funeral Service in Merced.
