Merced, California - Eduardo Valencia was born on April 30, 1937, in Juarez, Mexico and passed away on May 19, 2025, in Merced, California where he was a resident for 25 years.
Eduardo previously worked at Macy's as a retired Warehouse man for 30 years. Before his illness Eduardo was an active walker on Bear Creek. Eduardo loved watching horse racing and sports games: 49ers, Giants and the Golden State Warriors. He also looked forward to watching his Novelas and loved his scratchers.
Eduardo is preceded in death by his wife Petra Valencia, his mother Hermelinda Acosta and father Blas Valencia, as well as one sister.
He is survived by his children Lucia Becerra of Merced, Eduardo Valencia Jr. of Merced, Sylvia Trueman of Folsom, Arturo Valencia of Hawaii and Carmen Bonilla of Merced. Eduardo also leaves behind two sisters Maria Socorro Acosta and Olga Emerick along with 18 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 20+ great-great grandchildren.
The funeral mass will be held on June 10, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church located at 519 W 12th Street, Merced, California 95341 with interment to follow at Merced District Cemetery located at 1300 B Street, Merced, California 95341.
