Atwater, California - Emilia (Emily) was born to Joseph & Gertrude Trinidad in Pueblo, Colorado. She was the second of their four children. She married Jose (Joe) Cordova on November 8, 1946. They lived in Richmond, San Rafael & Oxnard, California before settling down in Atwater in 1956. She was a member of Saint Anthonys parish & worked at J.R. Woods for over 20 yrs. before retiring.
Emily is survived by her sons; Dennis (Lois)Cordova, Lloyd (Bridget)Cordova; daughter-in-law, Sandy Cordova; sister-in-law, Martha Trinidad; grandson, Christian Cordova; granddaughters, Stephanie (Nathan)Leonard, Natalie Lopez and Bianca Cordova (Davonte Wilson); great grandsons, Ian Lopez and Tyler Lopez; great granddaughters, Leah Cordova, Emilie Cordova, Caylee Cordova and Mia Leonard. Emily was preceded in death by her husband Joe; sons, Andy Cordova, Paul Cordova; parents Joseph & Gertrude Trinidad; brothers, Albert Trinidad, Ruben Trinidad; sister, Francis Velasquez Todaro. She loved reading, cats, collecting porcelain dolls, watching Walker,Texas Ranger & MacGyver. She enjoyed sewing, traveling & spending time with her family and friends.
Emily has been greatly missed by her family & friends these last couple of years. The Pandemic kept us from having her funeral but now we can grieve properly. None the less, it didn't lessen how much she was so loved and missed.
We appreciate all the love and support given by family & friends during this very difficult time.
Services will be at St. Anthony's Catholic Church (1799 Winton Way, Atwater, CA 95301) on May 14, 2022 (Saturday); Rosary at 9:30 / Mass at 10. Burial following at Winton Cemetery District (7651 Almond Ave, Winton, CA 95388). Celebration of life reception (will follow the burial services at Atwater Memorial Bldg. (Castle Veteran's Organization Hall) 1390 Broadway Ave., Atwater, CA. 95301.
