Howard Pelton Obituary

Howard Arthur Pelton Jr. ("HAP"), age 92, passed away on August 31, 2025, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Eiko Pelton; his children, Rika Pelton-Stutchman, David Pelton, and Angela Pelton-Ingram; and his grandchildren, Ryan Pelton, Sidney Pelton, Taylor Pelton, David Pelton Jr. (DJ), Chase Ingram, & Mia Ingram. He is also remembered by extended family members throughout ND & Okinawa.

Born on September 22, 1932, in Detroit, Michigan, HAP was raised between North Dakota and Detroit. He graduated from high school in Highland Park, Michigan. Following a distinguished military career spanning over 26 years, he retired as a Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force. After retirement, he chose to make Atwater, CA home.

In January 2025, Howard and Eiko relocated to Idaho to be closer to family.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 3 p.m. at English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
