Jack Williamson Obituary

Jack shared over a half century of his life with his wife and best friend, Rose Pitman Williamson.  He loved and enjoyed many people he worked with or knew through school, coaching or athletics.  Dr. Williamson retired from coaching, teaching and administration after 30 years service at COS, Fresno Unified, Fresno City College, Clovis Unified and Merced College.
He is survived by his beloved wife and children: Russell of Fresno, Kristi and her husband Bill Eaton of Merced, Todd, Jodi and her husband Joe Kemp of Clovis and six grandchildren.

Dear Rose, Kristi and Family, I am sorry to hear of Jack's passing. I had just talked of playing tennis with him, with Karen Hughes. He was one of the few people in Merced that did make a difference in a person and a community. He will be missed.

Dear Williamson Family it was sad to read of Jack's passing. It has been many years since I have seen or heard from him. I was one of his "rowdy" Clovis High School Student and my class just celebrated our 50th this year so it has been a long long time. I just remember him as a fun loving but sometimes serious coach and teacher. I also remember him as being very athletic and always looked up to him. When he went to Merced Clovis lost a fine educator and coach. May God place his arms around you his family and comfort you.

Dear Rose and your beautiful "family"--
My Janie and I are deeply saddened by Jack's passing. We have long admired you, Rose, and Jack as athletes, fellow educators, and caring parents. We treasure our friendship with all the Williamsons; moreover, our close relationships--all those moments and hours with Todd, Jodi, and Joe at Merced High are often recalled. Yes, we speak of you often, evoking wonderful memories of the enthusiastic support you shared with each other, your classmates, your teammates, and with us. Our love and most sincere condolences,--Frank'nJanie Russell
