Bonnie Casper Obituary
SOUTH BEND - Bonnie J. Casper, a lifelong resident of South Bend, passed away at 11:05 a.m. Sunday, August 1, 2010, at the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth. She was 51 years old. She was born October 23, 1958, in South Bend, the daughter of Donald Stormoen and Edith (Walton) Green. On May 14, 1999, in Mishawaka, Bonnie married Donald R. Casper, who survives. She is also survived by her mother, Edith Green of South Bend; daughter, Michelle R. (Bradly) Paparis of South Bend; stepdaughters, Karen Durkee, Susan Casper and Patty L. Belcher; stepsons, Donald R. Casper Jr., Robert Casper and Billy Casper; four grandchildren, Catalina, Tayler and Kaitlynn Paparis, and Trenten Thomas; and several step-grandchildren. Additionally, Bonnie is survived by sisters, Carol Yeskey, Cheryl Benway, Pamela (Gary) Thorpe and Charlotte Derickson, all of South Bend, and Brenda Tafelski of Floral City, FL; brothers, Mike Stormoen and Robert Hudson, both of South Bend, and Charles Stormoen of Indianapolis; stepsisters, Terri Parker of Michigan and Geraldine Welles of Oregon; stepbrothers, Gary Green and Kerry Green, both of Michigan; as well as several nieces and nephews. Bonnie was preceded in death by her father, Donald Stormoen; stepfather, Raymond Green; former husband, Dennis Branstetter; and one stepbrother, Larry Green. Funeral services for Bonnie will be at 10 a.m. Friday, August 6, 2010, in Palmer Funeral Home - Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend, with Rev. Ryan Yazel officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. today, August 5th, in the funeral home. To Pam, Mike,Bobby angel, and the entier family. I have known most of your family for many many years and my heart is so heavy with sadness for your loss. I am so glad that your mother is a strong church going lady,because she will need so much prayer. . ..I have walked in your moms shoes and that walk will always remain like yesterday....It is really true when they say ...a parent should never have to bury their child.
