June 2, 1922 - July 10, 2018
Jesus Garza Silva, 96 years old received his wings Tuesday July 10th. He passed peacefully at home surround by his daughters, sons and grandchildren.
He was preceded in and received by his wife Josefa Lopez Silva and daughter Ramona Silva. He will be truly missed by his children, Maria Hernandez, Rafael and Martha Silva, Roberto Silva, Gilberto and Elisa Silva, Aurelia Garcia, Angelina Silva, Jesse Silva, Josie and Brenda Rasmussen Silva, Juan Manuel and Jon Clifford Silva, Beatrice Silva, Jose Silva, Delia Silva, Elida Silva, Enedina Silva, Sylvia and Israel Silva Vazquez and Gil Silva and many grand, great, great-great grandchildren.
Jesus worked many years in agricultural from irrigation of crops throughout Arizona and California, driving big machinery and tractors and being a Mayordomo (field Supervisor) to picking figs, tomatoes and many more! He enjoyed and loved his family and fishing the most, but he lived his life his way."
A visitation will be held at Ivers and Alcorn Funeral Home in Merced on Thursday July 19, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Merced at 10:00 a.m. on Friday July 20, 2018, with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
