Norman Miranda
FEBRUARY 13, 1949 - JANUARY 18, 2017
Norman Stephen Miranda, 67, was born in Los Banos, California on February 13, 1949 to John Paul and Mary Simas Miranda.  He went on to be with the Lord on January 18, 2017.  He graduated from Los Banos High School in 1968 where he excelled in football and baseball, and was active in Los Banos FFA.  Norman lived in Los Banos and Modesto.  He also lived in Townsend, Montana where he worked for the U.S. Postal Services.  He was a hard worker.  He worked at Los Banos Dairyman's Association, Foster Farms, Berkeley  Farms, Dreyer's Ice Cream in the maintenance division of their creameries, as well as the Los Banos Abattoir.  He also owned and operated Miranda's Lawn Care in Los Banos for several years.
Norman loved to hunt and fish, and was a great mechanic who could fix anything, just like his father John Paul.  Norman was a very loving son,brother, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who loved spending time with his family.
Norman is survived by his four daughters: Cherie Miranda of Las Vegas; Helena (Adam) Yates their children Hailey, Grant and Zachary of Los Banos; Andrea Miranda (Cory), daughters Shelby, Faith, and Khloe of Los Banos; Mindy Miranda, her children Kyle, Kaitlyn and Jessica, of Neche North Dakota; and one great grandson Kayden Miranda of Neche, North Dakota.  His loving mother Mary Simas Miranda Bertao; sister: Christine (Gene) Brandi of Los Banos; brother: Frank (Jeanette) Miranda of Manteca; aunts: Lorraine Littleton of Oroville and Wilhelmina Costa of Los Banos; and numerous cousins.
Norman was preceded in death by his father John Paul Miranda and brother Robert Miranda.
Services will be held Friday, February 3, 2017 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Los Banos.  The rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. and the funeral mass will follow.  Services under the direction of Whitehurst Funeral Chapel ~Los Banos.

I am sorry for your family's loss. I hadn't seen Norman in years but he was the best man when I got married to his cousin, Clark Miranda. There was a time during the marriage where Norman was a very good friend to Clark and I appreciated that. May your spirit move on. Love and light.
