PATSY ADAMS Obituary

November 18, 1931 - August 21, 2010

Patsy Ramona Adams was born "Patsy Ramona Green" to Flora and Thomas Green on November 18, 1931 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She passed away peacefully at home on August 21, 2010 at the age of 78.

Patsy was always a very caring and loving person. She grew up in Modesto and moved to Merced when she married James B. Adams. She was a housewife and mother, Campfire Girls Leader for her daughter and Sports mom that never missed a single game of her five boys'. She started her nursing career in 1978. She held a LVN and a RN license. She worked as a nurse at Merced Medical Center Merced, "MCMC" as she called it, for nearly 20 years before she retired in 1995. She worked mostly in ICU, CCU and 2 West. She loved her work and had a passion for taking care of people. She was a very unique person in that whenever she met someone new she skipped just liking the person, to loving them automatically. She always had so much love and kindness to give to everyone she met. Her favorite pastime was going camping with her family to Comanche Lake and Half-moon Bay. She also enjoyed reading her books, watching her favorite TV programs, such as, "NCIS" and the "Nanny", and watching her favorite movies, such as, "Gone with the Wind". She was truly a wonderful person and she will be greatly missed.

Patsy was preceded in death by her husband James Berry Adams, her two sons, Tommy Lloyd Adams and Dennis Lee Adams, her parents, Flora Cunningham and Thomas Green and by her cat, Nosey Adams.

She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Elynda and Hugh Long, her brother and sister-in-law Richard and Sandy Cunningham, her children Don Adams of Higden, AR, Sandy and Pat Kelly of Spirit Lake, ID, David Adams, James and Varilyn Adams and Shelly Rodgers all of Merced and Jolynn Adams of WA., grandchildren Jennifer Speak of Ward, AR, Daniel Adams of Modesto, Melissa and John Johnson and William McLeskey of Rathdrum, ID, Jonathan McCarthy of CA, Valerie and Fernando Vera and Michael and James Mann of Merced, Melinda Barnett of Mariposa and Christine Adams of Heavener, OK, great grandchildren Desiree' Adams of Spirit Lake, ID, Savannah and Tyler Johnson of Rathdrum ID, Rylee Adams of Modesto, Alexis and Nicholas Adams and Brody Bias of Heavener, OK, Liam Vera of Merced, along with her cat, Peanut Adams.
