Richard Frank Navarro
October 22, 1946 - June 1, 2023
Merced, California - Richard (Dicky) Frank Navarro, 76, passed away June 1, 2023. He was born October 22, 1946 in California to Frank Navarro and Rachel Teran. He left this world after suffering a stroke with heart complications. He was surrounded by people that loved him. His two sisters were by his side at the time of his departure. He lived most of his life in Merced California with a few years in Nevada and Texas.
He is preceded in death by both his parents, his step-mother Marie Navarro, Brother Phillip Navarro and Sister Sandra Joy Miranda. He is survived by his two Sons Dustin Navarro and Joshua Navarro, his Sisters Mona Mora (Albuquerque, NM), Robin Mora Edwards (Merced) and Debbi Banda (Merced). Also by his brothers John Navarro, Christopher Navarro and William Navarro (All of Merced).
If you were fortunate enough to have spent time with Dicky, you would have discovered that he loved people, animals and the outdoors. He could share any of his stories with friends, family or strangers. He worked most of his life in Merced in some capacity in the agricultural industry. He spent time as a cowboy, truck driver and ranch hand. His proudest achievement was working for a famous company called Trans-America Airlines. This company was awarded contracts to deliver livestock around the world in a specially outfitted airplane. He traveled to Russia, Malaysia, France, China, Japan, Korea, Philippines, Thailand, New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong, England and India caring for all kinds of livestock.
A celebration of life will be held by all friends and family this October 20, 2023 at the Merced Elks RV Park. A small family gathering will return his remains in the same location he and his sisters said goodbye to their Mother.

I am very sad to hear that my cousin Dickie has left us. He was always friendly and talking about our family gatherings that we had when we were young. Occasionally, he would call me just to talk about family and how everyone was doing. My condolences go out to all the family and friends. I will miss him very much.
