Rocco Santino Rossini passed away New Year's morning from injuries sustained from an accident in rural San Joaquin County.
Rocco was born on July 27, 2006, in Fresno, California. As a third grader, he attended Garfield Elementary School in Clovis, California. Rocco was well known for his outgoing, energetic personality while recently being honored for excelling in his academics.
In addition to his schooling, Rocco was known for being as competitive as they come, while living life to the fullest. He played on the Clovis Bears/Buchanan Babe Ruth baseball team, while also enjoying flag football and snow skiing. In addition to sports, Rocco was no stranger to hunting with his dad – he loved being outdoors and enjoyed every moment with his family and friends.
Rocco is survived by his Mom Sharla Rossini and her fiancé, Jeremy Deaton, his Dad and step Mom, Giovanni and Casey Rossini. He also leaves behind his two sisters, Sienna and Gianna Rossini and step sister, Jessica Deaton,as well as his Papa and Noni (Al and Joan Rossini), and his Vava and Grandpa (Charlotte and Steve Murphy), Grandma "C" and Grandpa "C" (Carolyn and Chuck Chatfield), Great Noni (Margaret Pecchenino), and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Rocco was preceded in death by great grandparents, Albert and Fay Rossini, Dr. Jack Pecchenino, Manuel and Elva Faias, Uncle Brad Faias and great Uncle Casey Rossini.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 89 North Oak Avenue in Oakdale, California. There will be a visitation from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm and a Vigil from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday January 8, 2016 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel, 830 West F Street. Rocco Rossini will be laid to rest at the Citizens Cemetery in Oakdale. A Celebration Of Life will be held at Garfield Elementary School in Clovis beginning at 1 pm Sunday January 10th.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Go Fund Me Account www.gofundme.com - Rocco Rossini Scholarship Fund.
