Le Grand, California - Stephanie M. Perez was born May 10, 1973 and passed away on May 11, 2022. Stephanie grew up in the small community of Le Grand, California. From a young age, Stephanie displayed great academic acumen and a strong desire for knowledge. She was an avid student and excelled in her academics. Stephanie attended Le Grand Elementary School in her younger years where she took a particular interest in band as a talented drum major. She went on to graduate as Valedictorian of Le Grand High School in 1991. After high school, Stephanie attended the University of California, Davis where she earned her bachelor's degree in Sociology in 1996. Stephanie then decided to pursue a career in the practice of law; she attended McGeorge School of Law, obtaining her law degree in 2000.
Stephanie practiced law for over 20 years. She spent several years as an associate attorney at the Law Firm of Morse, Morse & Morse. She then went on to operate as a sole practitioner and eventually opened her own law firm in February 2017.
Stephanie had several accomplishments and passions in life. She took great joy in contributing to her community and always helping those around her. She was an active member of the Kiwanis Club of Greater Merced for many years. She loved dedicating her time to assist operating Kiddieland on the weekends for the youth of Merced. Every year Stephanie would lead a toy drive during Christmas time to donate toys in support of the local firefighter's charity toy drive for children. Stephanie also took delight in regularly supporting and donating to her alma mater, the Le Grand Bulldogs. She truly gave selflessly in all that she could.
Stephanie had a creative mind and was known for her witty rhetoric. She always amazed her family members and friends with her arts and crafts creations, especially her talent for origami. Stephanie greatly appreciated her life with her loved ones and would often return the casual question of, "how are you doing" with her signature response of, "living the dream."
Above all, Stephanie loved her family fiercely, and she always put her family first. She carried an extremely special place in her heart for her two nieces, Izabel and Emily, who she showered with love. She deeply treasured her family and worked hard to ensure that even through the losses of her grandparents that family traditions carried on in their honor. For Stephanie, family was everything.
Stephanie M. Perez is survived by her loving parents, Rosita M. Perez and Abelardo R. Perez; her sister, Lena Nunez (Frank Nunez); her brothers, Christopher Perez and Michael Perez; her nieces, Izabel Perez and Emily Nunez; and an abundance of aunts, uncles and cousins. Her love and kindness will never be forgotten.
Services for Stephanie M. Perez will be held as follows:
Visitation/Viewing on Friday May 20, 2022 from 3-7:00 pm at Stratford Evans Funeral Home;
Rosary on Friday May 20, 2022 at 7:00 pm at Stratford Evans Funeral Home;
Funeral Service on Saturday May 21, 2022 at 9:00 am at St. Patrick's Catholic Church;
Reception will follow funeral services and be held at Stratford Evans Funeral Home.
