Merced, California - Steven Cuadros, a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, & friend. A life long resident of Merced passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Steven lived a fruitful life spending time & cracking jokes with family and friends. He had many hobbies which included fishing, traveling, and tinkering around his home, but most of all he enjoyed gardening and ending his day with a cold Coors light. Steven served his country between 1951-1955 in the Navy aboard the Destroyer "USS Charles J. Badger DD-657" during the Korean War. After serving in the Navy, he worked at Metcalf upholstery in Los Angeles CA. For 6 years. Returning to Merced, he worked at the GE plant in production, Merced county parks and recreation, and in 1969 he began working for Ragu foods until he retired. Steven is preceded by his parents Jesus and Guadalupe Cuadros, sister's Connie, Inez, and Louisa Cuadros, brother's Cosme, and Juan Cuadros, his beloved son David Steven Cuadros, and great grandson, Matthieu David Cervantes. He survived by his wife of 63 years, Gloria Cuadros, son Robert (Mary) Cuadros, Daughter Stephanie (Chuck) Cuadros-Calderon, brother Danny Cuadros, Grandchildren Corina (Jimmy) Cuadros-Jimenez, Shane (Alonzo) Cervantes, GG (Trevor) Grijalva-Nowa, Steven Cuadros, Gina Grijalva, and Emilio Cuadros. Great-grandchildren Isaiah and Alina Jimenez, Enaleah Cuadros, Giovanni and Sophia Cervantes, and Selena Cuadros, along with several niece's, nephew's and cousins, and his most loyal companion, Lulu. Rosary and Mass will be April 1st at Sacred Heart church, 519 13th st. Merced at 9:30 am, burial at 11am at Calvary Cemetery, hwy 59 and child's ave. Followed by reception at the Merced American Legion hall, 939 W. Main Merced
