Timothy "TJ" Moore

Timothy John (TJ) Moore was born on April 3, 1996 in Merced, California.  He received his ultimate healing from cancer on August 12, 2016 when Jesus called him home.
TJ grew up in Merced where he attended school and graduated from Golden Valley High School in 2014.  During high school TJ was a member of the Golden Valley football team where he received numerous awards including being named Lineman of the year 2 years in a row.  He was also named Offensive Player of the Year. He received All Conference honors both for football and for his academic performance.  TJ was offered multiple scholarships to play football but ultimately chose William Jewel in Liberty, Missouri.  He then moved to Hastings to be closer to his siblings where he attended Central Community College.  He was employed at Murphy's Wagon Wheel where he loved all of his coworkers. He was especially close his employers Bob, Jamison and Brittany Murphy.
TJ was known for his very loving, kind and affectionate ways. He loved his siblings deeply and was very protective of his family.  On June 14th, 2016 TJ was blessed by the birth of his first nephew, Owen, who was TJ's pride and joy. Even in his sickness TJ would light up when Owen was in his arms and they quickly became napping buddies.
TJ leaves behind his mom Kiley Carrillo and his dad(best buddy) Joe Carrillo of Grand Island, Nebraska.  His father, Timothy and stepmother, Jacquie Moore, of Atwater, California; his sisters Bethany and husband Guy Skodmin, Erika Carrillo, and Bella Carrillo of Grand Island, Nebraska;  brothers Gary Womack of Hastings, NE, Michael Speights of Fresno, CA and Nathaniel Moore of Atwater, CA.  Also surviving are his grandmothers Barbara Crumley of Red Cloud, NE, Billie Moore of Atwater, CA, and Dolores Salinas of Merced, CA; aunts, Kelly and husband Don Witte of Scribner, NE and Patricia Leon-Guerrero of Merced, CA; uncles, Bobby and wife Kristi Salinas, Hector and wife, Stacy Salinas, Oscar Salinas, Michael and wife Gloria Moore, all of Merced, CA; Duwayne and wife Laura Moore of Bremerton, WA; a nephew Owen Skodmin of Grand Island, NE; his girlfriend Kalyn Sears of Crete, NE; numerous other relatives and friends; his work family at Murphy's; his medical team from 5 West at UNMC, including his favorite nurse Jade Gearhart, and his Mary Lanning Hospice team. TJ was preceeded in death by his grandfathers John Crumley and Gary Moore along with a cousin Sean Leon-Guerrero and close family friend Debb "Hollywood" Elrod.Memorial services will be held Saturday, 10:00 a.m., August 27, 2016 at the Livingston-Butler-Volland Chapel in Hastings with Fredd Burton officiating.  Book signing will be at the Williams Funeral Home in Red Cloud Wednesday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
