I had the privilege of caring for Alan in Rio Vista. He was great at Bocce ball and probably would have loved that in his obituary as well. He loved making soups and had great recipes, which he shared a few with me. He enjoyed his Jaquars and I loved driving him around in them. He'd ask how I liked driving it? The expression on my face made him chuckle. He had many friends and liked going to social outings with his friends in Rio Vista. I enjoyed talking with him and discussions about his work and dream studies. Interesting, but I still can't wrap my head around the atomic time theory and the chamber he tried best to educate and describe to me. That made him chuckle also. He was a very kind and patient person who will be missed. Catherine Herrmann
