Mike, Nancy and family,
I would like to share with you, my thoughts on your father. When I saw him with your Mother I saw nothing short of total devotion and committment, and a reassurance and renewed faith in my beliefs in marriage. Your parents love for eachother was amazing and something many children are not fortunate to witness. This alone is miraculous, then you add in his warmth and kindness and the open arms that always greeted myself and my family...what more could one ask for?
Thank you so much for sharing your family with ours. I will never forget him.
Love always,
Beverly and family

Mrs. Dudley, Rick, Mike, and Lisa,

I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Dudley's passing.

What a great coach and mentor he was to all of us little league kids. I have so many great memories of playing on his teams. Reading about his life brought back those memories like they were just yesterday.

I know he had great support from Mrs. Dudley when it came to running his teams, she was there for us too. The team he had at home enabled him to dedicate so much of his time and expertise to us kids.

We had some great times on the field, and I will never forget the summer of 1977 when his teams accomplished great things for Tri-Cities Little League.

Some things I remember about Mr. Dudley...his smile, his patience, his willingness to let you perform without fear of making a mistake, the blue stationwagon, the adidas Viennas, running the bases at the first practice of the year, practicing fundamentals, and getting the most out of the teams he managed, without making winning the number one priority.

There are people you meet in your life that have great impact, I can say with certainty, in my life, he was one of them.

I wish you all well in this difficult time.

Dearest Dudley Family,

You have all been blessed to share your lives with a wonderful man who became a husband, father, father-in-law, or grandfather to you. Together, you all have built some lasting memories that shall remain alive in your hearts during this most difficult time. As time passes, your lives will move forward, however, the presence of this great man will forever be in your hearts and on your shoulders. God Bless you all.
Coach Mike, it is obvious that you father had a huge impact in who you are. Your desire to coach and encourage athletes to strive for their personal goal is ever present during camp and track meets. Your dad is watching over you and so proud to see you carry on his dedication to young athletes.

Fondly,

Sally,

While no words can capture the loss of such a great man, the word, "fantastic" can at least summarize his life, and the legacy he leaves behind. I am honored to have had Mr Dudley in my life, and welcomed me into his family, which I will forever be grateful.

I see where Lisa gained her kindness, integrity, and genuine love for life, as Mr Dudley was so influential in her daily life. I know he's watching over her and is very proud of her accomplishments in life. I am looking forward to seeing Rikki and Dylan grow up and continue his heritage and zest for life. You will be truly missed.

With Love and Respect,

Your son-in-law (Rick)

To Sally, Rick, Lisa & Mike,
I have so many fond memories of Al. He was such a wonderful, devoted husband, father and grandfather. I so vividly remember Christmas time when all the gifts were opened (and there were many of them) and we were all recovering from that Al would sit down with all the grandkids and help them put together one of their toys or simply just play with them outside. He definitley had a twinkle in his eye when his grandchildren were around him. Al was so full of life - I will miss him dearly. When I would ask Al how he was doing - he would always respond "FANTASTIC!". He truly was just that. I am so grateful that I was able to be part of his life.
All my thoughts and prayers are with you always.
God Bless You all.
Love,
Terrie

In reading through all the wonderful comments, it is clear that your father was an amazing man who touched many lives. I only met him several times when we were in high school, but I know how much he meant to you through the many conversations we had about your family. I’m sure having your support and sense of humor the last few weeks gave him much peace and solitude.

May friends comfort you,
Faith uphold you,
And loving memories heal your heart.

Dearest Sally Rick, Mike and Lisa.. It was my personal pleasure to have met and known your husband/father for many years. I have very fond memories of his wit and his pleasant attitude. I still see him swinging his clubs or jugging around the neighborhood or sitting in "his chair" watching some sporting event. Well now he can do all those things and from the best seat in the house! I'm glad he was such an inspiration and an all around great guy. His devotion to his wife Sally was unconditional and just pure LOVE. It was awesome to see!! We were ALL Blessed to have him in our lives. God Bless you and may God and others give you strength during this time. He lived a full and FANTASTIC (his favorite word) Life and for that we should ALL be GRATEFUL!
