I just learned that Andrea passed away. We hadn't seen each other or spoken in many years. I left Macy's in 2000, and Andrea worked on my team at Macy's Stanford. We had a great team over the years I was at that store and Andrea was definitely central to it all. Her smile and positivity and yes, Jacquie - her laugh. Unmistakable and contagious. I'm so sad I only learned of her passing today, the same day she was put to rest. But, Tuesday this week I was texting with another old Macy's friend who also knew Andrea so well and we somehow ended our conversation on the topic of Andrea and wondering how she was doing. Another Macy's friend who let me know about Andrea's passing just hours ago said he had a conversation about Andrea with a coworker of his on Monday this week. I'm sure her spirit was touching us and saying goodbye somehow. Thank you for coming into my life and making it brighter, Andrea. Rest easy my friend.

Andrea was one of my BFF's--friends since the 6th grade. I love her and will miss her so much. She was beautiful inside and out, generous, loving and gracious. She was an amazing person with a beautiful smile and wonderful laugh. :) I will cherish the many memories. I look forward to seeing her again one day.
