Resident of Sunnyvale
August Ganter, age 86 of Sunnyvale, CA, passed away May 30, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy. He is survived by his children: Cathy, Aileen, Bernard, Loretta, Margaret, and Marie, fourteen grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. He was retired from Pacific Bell a.k.a. AT T and Orchard Supply Hardware.
Private Funeral Services have already been held. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Hey, Pop, a year has come and gone since you left this old tired earth. We are holding our own but there are those times I go to pick up the phone to call and remember you are no longer here. Most of our conversations rambled on some mighty crazy paths and always somehow we would come back to the beginning of the call. Too funny! I am so glad you are no longer in physical pain and are at rest. Thanks to you and mom for taking care of us the best way you knew how.

Grandpa, i miss you so freaking much it hurts! I miss our weekly talks that went on forever.I miss my friend.And i'm so glad that i got the privledge of really getting to know you as a person and not just my grandpa.I'm proud to have had you for my grandfather.And i pray that wherever your at that you have the peace that you've always wanted.You'll always have a very special place in my heart.And when you come back you'll be my next rottie.Then you can sit back and enjoy your new life. R.I.P. grandpa. I hope you know how much i loved and still love you.
