Beverly died peacefully with her family at her side on the evening of August 5th after unexpected complications from back surgery.
Beverly was the only child of G. William and Eunice Mae Raffensperger. She was born on December 26, 1939 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Beverly was graduated from Tudor Hall School in 1957 and Indiana University in 1961.
She married her high school sweetheart, David V.A. Fauvre in 1960.
In 1963 the Fauvres moved to Mill Valley, California. In 1965 their first child, David William Fauvre, was born. In 1967, the family moved to Saratoga, CA when they purchased "Taco Bell" franchisees in Santa Clara County. Their daughter, Cynthia Elise was born in 1968.
In the early eighties, Beverly was both a "roadie" and fan for her son's rock group, "The Esoterics," who rehearsed in the Fauvre garage.
Beverly was an active member of Eastfield Ming Quong Junior Auxiliary, buyer for the "Butter Paddle," and president of the Junior Auxiliary in 1989-90.
In 1992 the Fauvres built a second home in La Quinta, Ca.
Beverly Fauvre was the author of: "Justly Proud: A German-American Family in Indiana" and "Imagining Liza: Memoir of a Fan".
She was a member of Delta Delta Delta, national sorority.
Beverly is survived by her husband David V.A. Fauvre, to whom she was married for 53 years. She is also survived by her son, David William Fauvre (Katherine), Menlo Park, CA and Katherine's son, Spencer Ross Chernick, Santa Cruz, CA, her daughter, Elise Fauvre Burke (Andrew), and her granddaughters, Mary Frances Burke and Lily Elizabeth Burke, Portland OR… And her devoted Australian Shepherd, "Millie."
Services will be held in the Chapel of Saint Andrews Episcopal Church in Saratoga on Friday, August 9, 2013 at 2:00pm.
