Brandon L. Markum, 52, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 2 p.m. Sunday at Wiley Funeral Home, the Rev. Brandon Mercer officiating. Burial: Acton Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials: American Cancer Society. Brandon was born Feb. 17, 1962, in Fort Worth to Burrell Lee Markum and Elizabeth Ann Richards Markum. He was a rancher with his family all his life. He loved to rodeo and everything associated with ranching. Brandon also was a truck driver. Preceding him in death were his father, Burrell L. Markum, and brother, Britt Lee Markum. Survivors: Wife, Janie Markum of Granbury; children, Brianna Lee Markum of Valley Mills, Brodi Lee Markum of College Station; stepchildren, Kelli Ann Zuchowski and husband, Thomas, of Tunnelton, W.Va., Kristi Dawn Burr and husband, John, of Buckhannon, W.Va.; grandchildren, Haley Elizabeth Burr and Thomas Zuchowski Jr.; mother, Elizabeth Ann Markum of Granbury; and many friends.
