Brian Keigher Obituary

KEIGHER, Brian Joseph -- Brian Joseph Keigher died at his home in Santa Cruz Monday, December 8, after a two year battle with colon cancer. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 12 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Capitola. His cousin, Reverend Michael McCarthy S.J. of the University of Santa Clara will officiate. Brian is survived by his son, Aaron A. Keigher, a freshman at Chapman University, double majoring in dance and psychology; his parents Donald and Mary Lou Keigher, Los Alamos, NM, and sisters, Sharon Keigher, Milwaukee, WI and Sheila and brother-in-law, Charles F. Sargent of Boston, MA, and two nieces, Kira and Kathleen Sargent. He is also survived by extended family members, Janet Keigher, Lomita Skugrud and Todd, Ginny and Samantha Rader, Tom and Pat Rader and special friends Dianna Elston, Suzanne and Steve Gilbert, Heather Sutton and Linda Gruber. Brian was a corporate sales representative with Nor-Cal Allied Moving Services/Allied Van Lines, San Jose for the past 12 years. Previous to that he was a sales representative with TDS Mayflower, San Jose, & with Owens Bros. Mayflower, Santa Cruz for 8 years. He was a devoted supporter of the Santa Cruz performing arts, appearing in The Nutcracker, Our Town, and Giselle with his son Aaron. Earlier Brian was a lead singer with the rock band Mersey's Cadillac. Memorial gifts may be made to the Aaron Keigher College Fund, Bank of America, Acct# 0670104183. The family extends special thanks to Hospice Caring Project of Santa Cruz and to all those who have loved him.
