Coach Gallegos will always be in my thoughts every time I pick up a football. He took time after he was done with his team practice just to show me how to throw a football. My deepest condolences to Laurie and family. - Wendy

Although I never had the privilege of playing for Coach due to a late transfer my senior year, I always had the greatest respect for him. I solely played basketball at Lick, but Coach would still take the time to talk to me and see how I was doing in a new school. Thank you Coach.

Very sad to hear about the passing of Chon.

He was a wonderful PE coach and teacher I had at James Lick High School. I also saw him again in the 1980's at several City of San Jose Traffic Operations functions with his wonderful wife, Laurie.

My condolences to her and all of the family members.

What an accomplished life Chon lived and he will be fondly remembered by his family and friends.
