David Crowley Obituary

Resident of San Marco, CA
David Joseph Crowley passed away on June 28, 2022, surrounded by his family, just after his 88th birthday, and 65th wedding anniversary with his wife Carolyn. David and Carolyn spent most of their lives in Almaden Valley, after shorter stints in Los Angeles and Scottsdale after moving west from Massachusetts. Dave was a public relations professional, working for General Electric and later opening his own firm, the Pacific News Bureau. After retiring, Dave and Carolyn relocated to a San Marcos retirement community, where they enjoyed the southern California sunshine and a busy, yet relaxed life. An active member of the Almaden Valley United Church of Christ, long-term member and former president of the Campbell Rotary, gifted writer, golfer, skier, and family man, David will be forever remembered for his gracious demeanor, his ready smile, and unintended but always hilarious quips. Dad leaves a family and community grieving for his loss, while he remains forever in our hearts as our beloved dad, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

I am so sorry to hear about Dave´s passing. He & his wife traveled with my aunt and uncle, Rae & Dave. He was such a great person!

I was very saddened to read of Dave´s passing. As my GE nuclear energy client and colleague in mid-1970s, we worked closely together during a key period for U.S. power generation. Six years ago, he contributed kind words about our association and friendship in my children´s "70th"commemorative book for me. My condolences to his family. Dave´s intellect and good humor, all our noon Togoburgers enjoyed together, will always be warmly remembered.

I was saddened to learn of Dave´s death. I have fond memories of him at Almaden Valley United Church of Christ during my years as the minister and enjoyed him and Carolyn and the family and participating in their special family events.
