To Penny, Leonard and Dave's family & Friends:

I am one of many community members whose thoughts are with you and who share in the very sad loss of Dave, a respected professional and good friend to me, the Silicon Valley Children's Fund (SVCF) & Children's Shelter staff, Board and the County's abused and neglected children. This past June I wrote a letter to him acknowledging his achievement of the prestigious Craftsmanship of the Year Award for his work, including the SVCF calendar. In the letter I thanked him for his help over the years with our work -- for his dedication to high quality work and professionalism. We greatly appreciated his patience with our tight deadlines, his fair business practices and his generosity of spirit and heart. Dave was a caring gentle man who was a trusted friend. He contributed so much of himself and his product to our effort to help our kids. I have long valued his support and will forever hold him in my thoughts and prayers.

Penny - I was so sorry to read about Dave. Though we didn't have too many chances to be with you both, I know your relationship was very special. Be assured I understand what you are going through and my thoughs and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Call if you need someone to talk to. Dorothy

Our condolences to the McKay family on the loss of your beloved David. We will always remember his obvious devotion to his family, friends, and Smith/McKay printing and his sharing of his life experiences with us following the loss of our parents. His kindness to both of us and our parents will be a treasure.
