1968 - 2022

Douglas Johnston, 54, passed away unexpectantly on December 7, 2022. Born in Beeville TX to Daniel and Jeanette Johnston, Doug grew up in Hawaii, the Philippines and San Jose. He graduated in 1986 from Gunderson HS where he competed in wrestling and then owned and operated Marble Doctors. Doug's love for his son was immense. He was extremely proud of Nathan's soccer success, encouraging & cheering him on from the sidelines. Doug loved the beach, reading, cooking, working out at the gym, spending time with family, and the family dog Ozzy. He was an extreme sports enthusiast who loved wakeboarding and snowboarding at Kirkwood. Beloved husband and father to Christine and Nathan. Loving son and brother to Daniel and Jeanette, Carrie Smith, Jeff (Cris) Johnston, Michael (Stefanie) Johnston, & Jeremy (Angela) Johnston. Cherished and funny uncle to Sydney, Alex, Cole, Kendall, Jamie, Sophia, Aiden, Dominic, Derek, Sebastian and many close family members and friends. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him!Family and friends are invited to attend a Visitation Wednesday, December 21, 2022 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at LIMA-CAMPAGNA-ALAMEDA MISSION CHAPEL, 600 S. Second Street, San Jose. Funeral Mass Thursday, December 22, 2022 at 10:30 A.M. at HOLY FAMILY CHURCH, 4848 Pearl Avenue, San Jose.
