Santa Clara
She was the youngest of five children of the late John and Edna Filizetti. The family moved West seeking a better life away from the iron ore mines of Upper Michigan.
A life-time resident of Santa Clara, Edna attended St Clare School, graduated from Santa Clara High School, and earned an AA in Business at Mission College. At 22, she began working at Lockheed and received numerous Team Excellence Awards. After 43 years in the print shop, she retired as Manager of Facilities.
She loved dogs, especially Yorkies, and often had two or three, including a Mastiff named Rosie.
She is survived by her wife Laura Humphrey of 33 years, brothers Gary Filizetti and Jim Matthews, 8 nieces and nephews, and several grand-nieces and grand-nephews who will miss her dearly.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Feb. 12, at 10 am with a service to follow at 11am, Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, 466 N. Winchester Blvd. Santa Clara. In lieu of flowers, please donate to ARF, 2890 Mitchell Dr., Walnut Creek, CA 94598, www.arflife.org

I had so much respect for Edna. She put her heart and soul into everything and she cared deeply about her friends and coworkers. What a great lady.

From all the way back to grade school I remember Edna to be very personable. Luckily, through the years I would run into her now and then. As many of you say, she had good sense of humor and she drew you in with great conversation. Many regards to all the family.

There are just no words to express the sorrow I feel over the loss of my beautiful, amazing, kind cousin Edna! You were more than my cousin, you were my sister! I miss you so much and there is no one who will ever be able to take your place!!!! The trust and respect we had in each other was so special! Rest In Peace Edna!!! I just can't believe you're gone!!!

Edna always had a kind word,a great laugh and a good joke. I will always remember her kindness and compassion for those of us who were lucky enough to be in her realm. Laura and family I wish you peace and strength in the days to come. Edna will be missed by many.
