Mountain View
Longtime Mountain View resident and retired Postal Worker. Ed Blalock moved to Mountain View in 1935 along with his parents Edward Sr. and Martha both teachers at Mountain View High School and his brother Thomas. He is survived by his 3 children (Edward, Mark, Louise), 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and his brother Tom.
He worked for the US Postal Service until retiring in 1984. He was a lifelong fisherman, hunter and outdoorsman. A Lifetime Founding Member of the Sunnyvale Rod and Gun Club and a longtime "Friend of Bill W".
Ed and his wife, Nora (d. 2018) were World Travelers with trips to Europe and many cruises in the Caribbean, Hawaii, through the Panama Canal both directions, crossing the Equator several times and around tip of South America from the Atlantic to the Pacific and from the Pacific to the Atlantic.
A Memorial Service will be held October 1 at 11:00 at Saint Jude the Apostle Episcopal Church, 20920 McClellan Rd., Cupertino. 11:00.
