Edward W. Vargas
Dec. 19, 1927 - Nov. 23, 2014
Resident of San Jose
Edward W. Vargas was born in Santa Maria, California and moved to San Jose when he was a young boy. He lived in San Jose his entire life until he passed peacefully at the age of 86. Ed loved his family, loved fishing and playing Rummikub. He joined the Army/Air Force in 1946 and was honorably discharged. He worked for Lockheed for about 25 years, was a participant with the Boy Scouts of America and a member of the Tricarico Club. Ed is survived by his wife, Barbara Vargas, daughters Vikki Prichard, Diana Woods (Mark) and Jennifer Wyss (Mike), 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, his sister, Arlene Greenly and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Edward Vargas. He will be greatly missed! Services will be held on Saturday, November 29, at 1:30 pm, at Willow Glen Funeral Home, 1039 Lincoln Ave., San Jose, CA . In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara County or donate to your favorite charity.
