Happy New Year Fernando,

I stopped by to visit you at Christmas, with my mom & sisters. Your headstone is beautiful! I think of you often and I smile with all the fond memories I have of you going through school together & all the laughs you and I and vince shared. You were a great friend in childhood and adulthood. I still see you pulling up in your cop car to my parents house and you and my dad talking for days. I lost my dad Jan. 4th, 2006. So, hopefully you two have met up again and are catching up on the gossip of Santa Clara! =) I miss you and think of you often. I see your dad almost every morning on my way to work, he doesn't see me, but I see him and smile as I drive because you look so much like your dad I see your face in his! Your parents finished there house and it looks great! God Bless my dear friend Rest in peace and be painfree! Say hi to my dad for me...
Love always,
Cristina Valencia

Fernando,

I still think about you, and will forever pray for you and your family. You left this world too soon but God has a plan and I believe he needed you much more than the ones you left. You are taking care of your parents, children,Bobby & cousins and many more because they are doing okay because of whom you were when you were on this planet. You made them strong and they are staying strong because of who you are.

God Bless,

Happy Anniversary my love, I went to the place we were married only 1 year ago and realized how short our time was together and I miss you terribly and left you a special gift so that you will always remember the love in our hearts that no one can take away

September 27, 2005

A million times we've needed you,

a million times we've cried,

if our love alone could have saved you

you never would have died

In life we loved you dearly,

in death we love you still;

In our hearts you hold a place

no one else could ever fill

If love could build a stariway,

and heartache build a lane;

we'd walk the path to heaven

and bring you back again

Our family chain is broken

and nothing seems the same;

but as God calls us one by one

the chain will link again

When I read the news about Fernando I felt sorrow and attended the funeral. I have a daughter who was born in 1966 and I know how young this age is. Although I never met him I could see from his photo that he was a tender individual. (A photo says a lot about us) I believe we are all in Gods plan and I know that Fernando is with God now and in Paradise. (He probably looks at us and feels sorry for us because we are not in Paradise with him yet.)

The world is just a testing ground for us so God could see if we belong with him or not. And it is always what God wants not what we want. So all of our lifes are in Gods hand. What a wonderful example he left behind. He will always be remembered with pride, love and honor. God Bless You All and thank you so much for sharing Fernando with us. His family is truly blessed!

His Journey's Just Begun

Don't think of him as gone away-

his journey's just begun,

life holds so many facets-

this earth is only one.

Just think of him as resting

from the sorrows and the tears

in a place of warmth and comfort

where there are no days and years.

Think how he must be wishing

that we could know today

how nothing but our sadness

can really pass away.

And think of him as living

in the hearts of those he touched...

for nothing loved is ever lost....

and he was loved so much.

Safely Home

I am home in Heaven, dear ones;

Oh, so happy and so bright!

There is perfect joy and beauty

In this everlasting light.

All the pain and grief is over,

Every restless tossing passed;

I am now at peace forever,

Safely home in Heaven at last.

Did you wonder I so calmly

Trod the valley of the shade?

Oh! but Jesus' love illumined

Every dark and fearful glade.

And He came Himself to meet me

In that way so hard to tread;

And with Jesus' arm to lean on,

Could I have one doubt or dread?

Then you must not grieve so sorely,

For I love you dearly still;

Try to look beyond earth's shadows,

Pray to trust our Father's Will.

There is work still waiting for you,

So you must not idly stand;

Do it now, while life remaineth-

You shall rest in Jesus' land.

When that work is all completed,

He will gently call you Home;

Oh, the rapture of that meeting,

Oh, the joy to see you come!

My Nandie Pandie, where do I begin to tell you the loss I feel, it has been a month since you have left us and I miss you sooooo much. Paris is walking now and she points to all your pictures and says, "Dada". Bella misses you so much. She still doesn't understand that we can't go to your parents house and see you anymore.

Sammy Jo started 1st grade and talks about you to everyone.

I am thankful to everyone that has written in and has so much positive things to say about Nando. He is a true angel and now he can watch over all of us like God's angel. To Nandito, Justin, and Grace you are always welcome to see your sister. She is such a wonderful asset to your family! She will have to hear the stories from you guys about how loving her dad was and how proud you guys were of him. Paris loves you too Granpa, Granma, and Uncle Bobby.

Fernando, the world a smaller place without you... but know that your love for your family and friends hold strong and lasting memories. We will all miss you.

Most of all, your family misses you. Let them dwell in simply knowing that you were a good man, and a model for many. Let your children know that their dad is a good man. And as hard as it may seem, realize that you are in a better place, and someday, if we live life well, we look forward to spending time with you again.

I know I miss you.

I think back and smile at the days and times working Great America... your wanting to see where the fireworks were launched and our having to hide under the tram because we got too close -- your ability to diffuse a gang incident -- in front of my wife -- who thought we were all going to get toasted... and so many other things. Thinking of you has always brought a smile to my face.

Rest well my friend.
