Frank Dodge Obituary

Frank Dodge

Resident of Los Altos

Passed away on August 14 at Stanford Hospital at 75 from pneumonia complications. Frank was born in Brooklyn, New York, grew up in Palo Alto, and was a 1954 graduate of Paly High. After serving 4 years in the Air Force, he graduated from San Jose State in 1962 and received his master's degree in accounting from SJSU in 1963. For over 30 years, he served clients, many of whom became friends, as a CPA in San Francisco. He was active in the CPA Society, serving on the local taxation and local and state ethics committees, and earned an MBA from Golden Gate University in the 1980s. He retired to Los Altos and received a kidney transplant at Stanford Hospital in 1996 that enabled him to live another 15 happy and productive years that included many road trips with family and friends. A lifelong Brooklyn Dodgers and Stanford fan, he also enjoyed attending sporting events, whether professional, college or his grandsons' youth events. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Judy; daughter, Linda, son-in-law, Scott, and grandsons, Duncan and Frankie, of Palos Verdes Estates; mother-in-law, Adella Shafer, of San Francisco; and numerous cousins.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Renal Transplant Unit at Stanford Hospital, online or via mail to Stanford Hospital Development, attn. Anne-Marie Krogh, 3330 Hillview Ave., Palo Alto, CA 94304-1203.
