Frank Seay Obituary

Frank D. Seay

Resident of Los Gatos

Oct. 17, 1942-Oct. 8, 2010

Born in Colorado, but moved to Spokane, Washington at a young age. After attending Washington State University, Frank moved to California in 1965 to pursue a career and then begin a family.

Frank enjoyed 39 years working for Dean Witter/Morgan Stanley as a successful stock broker. He loved his work and developed many lasting relationships with his co-workers as well as his clients. A very proud man, Frank was honored to have his son, Ryan, work along his side to transition his business to him.

Frank is survived by his son Ryan Seay, his daughter Nicole Stone and her husband Tim, grandchildren Jaeger, Walker, and Kayden; his daughter Brandi Berry and her husband Glenn, grandchildren Mason, Nolan, and Makenna; and his sister Mary Seay Daniel.

An avid sports fan, Frank enjoyed watching his grandchildren's baseball, basketball, and soccer games as well as following the 49ers. His love for golf was shared with his son as they played for many, many years together, most recently at La Rinconada. Frank also enjoyed time at the driving range while teaching his grandchildren to play as well.

Loving to entertain and enjoy time with his closest of friends and family, Frank will forever be remembered as the consummate host.

A private celebration of his life will be held on October 20th. Arrangements under the direction of DARLING FISCHER Chapel of the Hills.

Brandi and Nicole, I just heard the news from you mom that your father passed away. I know the whole in your hearts and there is no one that will ever fill his shoes. Keep his memory alive as you are his legacy. I remember him with his great smile and his contagious laugh. My love, Aunt Louise (Travis' Mom)

Brandi, Nicole and Ryan,

We're so sorry for your loss. May you take comfort in the knowledge that your father loved all of you very much and was rightly proud of all of you.

Today, I received a call from Bonnie about Frank (Sonny, I think he hated that nickname). We grew up together across the street from each other in Spokane. Now, as winter approaches, I often will recall the moments snow sledding in the street (might have been why he eventually moved to California), doing many things our parents didn't know about, especially when we got older. We have seen each other but brief moments in the recent past. The passage of time and our own lives separate us, but the memories keep us close. God Bless you all in this difficult time.

I am very sad and shocked to learn of Frank's passing. I worked with him at Dean Witter/MS and he was always so kind to me. I will miss him and my heart goes out to his family. I remember helping him ship Ryan's things when he went off to college. :)
I think of Frank often as we have a crystal fruit bowl on our dining table, a crystal picture frame on our entertainment center and an 8 piece set of sundae bowls that were all Christmas gifts from Frank. He was such a generous and sweet man, he will be missed...
Again, my heart and thoughts are with his family, may you all find some peace in spite of this.
