George Delucchi Obituary

George Delucchi, a revered pillar of strength and generosity, passed away on December 17, 2023, at 85. Born in Richmond, CA, he excelled academically, graduating at 17 from Richmond High School in 1955. A dedicated advocate, he made Santa Clara his lifelong home.George earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from San Jose State College in 1959. Serving in the Army Finance Corps during the Berlin Wall construction, he received the Army Commendation Medal. As a CPA for over 50 years, he held prominent roles in various partnerships, leaving a lasting impact on Delucchi, Hawn & Company, LLP.His commitment extended to philanthropy, earning the Austen Warburton Community Service Award in 2013. He served multiple volunteer roles, impacting organizations like Crippled Children's Society and Santa Clara University. As President of the Rotary Club of Santa Clara and an invested Knight of Magistral Grace, George left an enduring legacy of service.Survived by his brother Norman, and nephews Carl and Peter, George's family was a constant source of pride. His legacy of kindness and unwavering commitment will be remembered by all privileged to know him, leaving a profound impact on the communities he served. George Delucchi's selfless contributions will continue to inspire generations, enriching the world with his enduring spirit of generosity and warmth.Visitation will be 5:00-9:00pm, Rosary will be 7:00pm, Tuesday, January 2, at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary. Funeral Mass will be held 11:00am Wednesday, January 3, at St. Martin of Tours Church with Father Bennett of St. Christopher's Church, officiating.
