George R. Kuto
June 2, 1925 - Aug. 17, 2012
Resident of Gilroy
With deep sadness George R. Kuto passed away peacefully at the age of 87. He is survived by his sisters Dorothy Sniezewski Florence Tierney; daughters Patricia Freitas, Susan Malizia Catherine Kuto; son-in-laws John Freitas Jim Malizia; five grandchildren seven great grandchildren.
Born in Berwyn, Illinois upon graduating from Morton High School in 1943 he enlisted in the Army Airforce. He was assigned to the 9th Air Force 391st Bombardment as a gunner on a B-26 Marauder. In 1945, their plane went down over Germany from enemy flack. Upon liberation from the German POW camp by Allied troops he returned home to Chicago was honorably discharged as staff sergeant.
Following WWII George married Gladys Kuto earned an aeronautical engineering degree. With their three daughters, the Kuto family moved to California where they enjoyed a rich family life. He retired from Lockheed-Martin in 1989 married Lisa Quinlan following the passing of Gladys Kuto.
He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph Antonette Kuto, wives Gladys Hilliard Lisa Quinlan. George's final resting place will be with Gladys in Michigan.
Prayers for the faithful will be offered at St. Catherine's Church Morgan Hill 9/15 - 9/16 and Mass Intention 10/29 - 11/4.
In lieu of flowers, please send a memorial donation to the U.S.O. or the DAV (Disabled American Veterans).
