Santa Clara Clara
After a short & difficult battle with cancer, Jerry passed away at El Camino hospital with his friends & family close. Born in San Francisco, he had been a resident of Santa Clara for 68 years. Jerry attended the Country School in Los Gatos & graduated from Santa Clara High in 1962. He attended De Anza college & then received his Bachelor Degree from San Jose State. He was an employee of Owens Corning for 37 years, starting as a clerk & retiring as the Santa Clara plant environmental engineer in 2000. Jerry is survived by his wife, Ginny Spencer, his mother, Lydia M Kanter, his daughter, Laura Russomanno, his son, David Kanter, and his three grandsons, Christian, Nico, & Michael Russomanno. No services will be held but donations in his memory may be made to the Central YMCA in San Jose, where he was a member for over 50 years. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
