I met Glen at Redwood Glen Nature Camp in Santa Cruz, CA in the 5th and 6th grades. He was always kind, and such a gentleman. My fondest memory of Glen is of him offering me his hand in order to help me get across a creek at Redwood Glen-I was so touched. He possessed a very positive energy and was a good soul. I was truly saddened to learn of his passing.

I will always remember Glen as being such a great leader and organizer of many of our activities in High School. He was a great guy just to hang out with and I always felt so happy when he lovingly called me his "sister". Rest in peace my "brother". Love, Lynne

Glen was part of my family growing up as kids. He grew up on Shasta and me on Hanchett. Glen, myself and my brothers would run to Fiesta Lanes and bowl for hours. I played CYS baseball and basketball with him. My dad took Glen, my brothers and I to the Winchester theater to watch the movie "Tora, Tora, Tora". We were the only Japanese people in the theater, that was an experience. Thank you Glen for being part of my childhood. Rest in Peace my brother.

My condolences to the Umeda family. Glen shared many classes with me throughout high school. We shared the love of music and enjoyed jazz, marching and orchestra bands together. We also ran track and field together and we grew up 2-blocks from one another near Lincoln High School. His warmness and sweet smile will forever remain in my memory. Warmest of blessings at this difficult time.

My deepest sympathy to the family. This comes as a shock as I learned about Glen's passing on Monday afternoon. I had the pleasure to grow up with Glen and eat lunch at his house on many occasions. I can still remember the first time I had Top Ramen was at Glen's house. From Trace Elementry to Hoover Jr. High to Lincoln High School.Played sports and we were in the band etc. We parted ways in 1974 I believe after our Freshman year at Lincoln High School. I moved to Arizona during that following summer. Thankfully Glen was in charge of our 30 year class reunion in 2007 and I can tell you we all had a blast reminesing. Glen will always have a special place in my heart. R.I.P. my friend.
