RIP Mr. Shellman and my sincerest condolences to his family. He was and always will be my favorite teacher. Science was always my favorite subject but Mr Shellman made me want to excel at it. He'll always be a bright spot in my high school memories!

RIP Mr. Shellman, Thank you for your teachings at PHS. You were an awesome teacher. Thank you for letting me read Dilbert funnies in the back while the rest of the class tested. I am thankful for having you as a teacher, I was one of the fortunate ones.
Amy and family so sorry for your loss.

I was fortunate to not only know Guy as a fellow educator, but as one of my son's teachers. My son loved going to Mr. Shellman's classes and sharing with us some of the science experiments that he did in class. I will miss seeing Guy at the CalRTA luncheons and at mass on Sundays. He was always a ray of sunshine.

Mimi, Amy and Allison.....We are thinking of you all and also remembering lots of fun times we spent together. Guy had called us early December to tell us he had received our Christmas card. He and Bob had a nice conversation. He sounded cheerful . We know he will be missed by many. judy and bob

My first encounter with Guy was on the front lawn of his parent´s house at 1:00AM in August of 1967. He thought I was a prowler standing in the grass in the dark outside their front door (his sister had invited me to meet her on the front steps after her swing shift).
He approached me with confidence and no fear, sensing my embarrassment and thoughtfully listening to my explanation. He broke into a warm smile and invited me into the house to wait. He was calm, mild mannered and trusting. I soon learned this to be the demeanor of the whole Shellman family-they were teachers.
Guy had a dry wit and a focused acumen during table games-none of us could beat him playing Acquire. I´ll never forget his warm competitive snickers-he loved to win.
Otherwise, Guy was all business, a hard worker who painted the outside of our house in one day, singlehandedly. With a headband like a sushi chef and a paper mask over his nose, it was all he needed to keep sweat out of his eyes and paint out of his lungs.
Rest in peace, Guy! As your dad always said, "you´ve fought the good fight!"
