February 27, 2011
Professor Chang lived an inspirational life, both personally and professionally.
He was gifted in uplifting his family and friends as well as his students and colleagues.
The great encouragement he bestowed on everyone lives on in all those whose lives he touched.
His brilliance continues on, now and into the future, in the ripple effects influencing his former students’ research, teaching, publications, and new discoveries.
As was made clear at Professor Chang’s memorial service February 24, 2011, he not only was a wise man intellectually, but also in his creating a life overflowing with love, compassion, and generosity.
Professor Chang was a very special human being. Our world is a noticeably better place because he was here.
Heartfelt condolences, especially to his wife, brothers, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and other close family and friends.
Wishing you peace and healing in this time of sadness,
Valerie & Robert Cheasty
