Ivo Alessandro Lazzarini On Thursday evening, May 28, 2015, Alessandro Lazzarini passed away at Marin General Hospital, at the age of 94. He was surrounded by his loving family as he passed from this life. Sandro was born in Lucca, Italy on May 19, 1921. His life was filled with a wealth of experiences and adventures. He was a veteran of WWII, having served in the Royal Italian Air Force. He was able to fulfill his dream of coming to the U.S. when he and his wife Enrica and their young son, Albert, immigrated to the United States in December 1957. An electrician by training, he worked his entire career for Magnuson Engineering, Inc. as a service technician, until his retirement in 1986. He was an outgoing man with a twinkle in his eye and had a great sense of humor up to his last day. He was loved and cherished by all who knew him. Sandro was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His wife, Enrica pre-deceased him in May 2010. He leaves behind his loving children, Albert and Anna; his son-in-law Mark Wagner, his daughter-in-law, Martha McInnes; and seven grandchildren: Matthew (Denise), Amanda, and Nicholas Wagner, and Alessandro, Christian, Thomas, and Margaret Lazzarini. He lived a long and full life and we were blessed to have had him with us until age 94. A memorial Mass and celebration of his life will be held at St. Sebastian's Catholic Church, 373 Bon Air Road, Greenbrae, CA, on June 20, at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ivo Alessandro's name to the Marin General Hospital Foundation Palliative Care, 100B Drake's Landing Road, Greenbrae, CA 94904.
