Jack William Matheson passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 after a battle with a brain tumor. He touched many lives with his witty sense of humor.
Jack was born in Santa Monica and graduated from Washington High in Los Angeles. Jack started his career in sales at JC Penny's in management until 1980 when he relocated to San Jose with his family. He then worked at Intercraft Framing and retired in 2007. Jack and his wife relocated to Sparks, NV in 2012.
Jack was a simple man who enjoyed being a softball coach for Campbell Bobby Sox, classic cars (owning a 1971 442), and going to the casino to play blackjack.
Jack is survived by his wife, Jo; children, Jennifer and Kevin; his granddaughters, Lea and Makela; his sister, Joyce Greif; and his loving dog, Oliver.
Friends and family are invited to a funeral service at 10 AM on Monday, April 10 at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 22555 Cristo Rey Drive, Los Altos.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his memory to the Glioblastoma Foundation.
