James Higuchi Obituary

James Jugiro Higuchi, M.D. Born December 18, 1915, in Los Altos, California. Died April 4, 2005, in San Jose. James lived in Santa Clara Valley all his life. He graduated from U.C. San Francisco Medical School in 1939, and was in family practice in San Jose for 40 years. James served in the U.S. Army for 5 years (1939 - 1945). He was a devoted, kind, loving person who touched many lives and will be dearly missed.

James is survived by his wife of nearly 62 years Amy (Iwagaki), his children Mary Ann Mailliard (Ward), James N. Higuchi (Patricia), Paul M. Higuchi (Teresa), Michael D. Higuchi (Serena), 9 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, April 8 from 2:30 - 8:00 p.m. at DARLING-FISCHER GARDEN CHAPEL, 471 E. Santa Clara St., San Jose. A Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church, 566 N. 5th Street, San Jose, California 95112.
