We have very fond memories of you! We still crack up when we think of the way you used to sniff when you said something you thought was funny! We have many funny recollections of times spent with you and your family! We hope that Aunt Lori, Michael, and Ryan all have been met with a measure of peace since your passing-

It doesn't seem possible that a year has passed. You are truly missed. You have touched a lot of people during your life and have created many memories. Those memories will forever be alive in the hearts of all who love you. We love and miss you.

We knew Jim as a loving husband and father to his sons. We also remember him as a dedicated coach and owner of two Golden Retrievers, Blaze and Thunder. Blessed with a loving, supportive wife and two wonderful boys (the sons), he was a fortunate man. We miss his easy-going friendship. May peace be with him always.

A year ago today we lost a wonderful, loving, caring, generous friend that we consider family.
We miss you Jim, and not a day goes by that we don't think of you. We often recall your funny "one liners" and whenever we watch the Giants or any game, we remember your love of the Bay Area teams such as the Sharks, Giants and 49ers.

It’s hard to believe that tomorrow will be the one-year anniversary of Jim’s passing. It’s been an extremely rough year for you Lori, Michael and Ryan, but with the support of so many loving friends and family members, you were able to get through it. Also, the wonderful memories you have of Jim will continue to comfort you and help your hearts heal as time goes on. Jim was a wonderful husband and father and a great friend to many, many people. He will continue to be missed and thought about every day. Just know that Jim is watching over the three of you and will be forever in your hearts and of all those who knew him. It is hard to believe it has been a year. I miss you my dear friend. I have done what you asked. Your puppies are doing well and have lost a ton of weight due to your family following the orders of the Doc. I am so proud of all of them. Love and miss you.

Lately I have been thinking about Jim and sometimes having dreams about him. Another strange occurance is that I find myself watching the 49ers. I have never liked the 49ers or watched pro-football. For some reason, I just care about it now. Here is how these things connect: I remember how I used to spend time with Jim, Michael, Ryan and my brother Brandon, at the Miceli's house or our house on random Sundays or whenever a game was on. I never got into the football games but just enjoyed sitting in that company and listening as Jim would talk about the game at a level that qualified him for a co-spot with Gary Radnich. The room would always be filled with laughter as Jim would get everyone going with a good one-liner. As I sit here in my house in San Francisco watching the Niners on TV, away from my family and away from the Miceli family, I sometimes, just for a second think, 'I can't wait until I'm back in San Jose to watch a game with Jim, Michael, Ryan and Brandon.' Seconds later I come back to reality to know that those days came and went and that I am only left with a memory. But I treasure those memories, and I will never forget them or Jim.

To my Jimmy, family and friends,
The ache in our hearts will never go away. The only comfort is you are out of pain and in God's hands. You fought your hardest and I will always love you. I'm sorry you suffered but you were determined to do everything to stay with me Michael, Ryan and family, extended family. The out pour of love for you and us will forever be remembered and we are blessed to know we will always be your wife and sons. Thank you to everyone who were there for us and always will be. We love you and all of you made Jim's and our last months together very special. Judy and Dave Kling you are family and you threw Jim the most generous compassionate birthday party anyone could ever have. What beautiful memories. What beautiful friends you are all. We can only hope and pray that Jim is looking down and smiling.

Jim was a kind, gentle, sincere, loving and most compassionate husband and father who loved unconditionally. So many were fortunate to have met, known and loved Jim through his marriage to my sister Lori. So many others were fortunate to have Jim in their lives in other capacities besides that of familial love. Yes Jim, you were loved wherever you were, wherever you went, and in whatever capacity people knew you...and they all called you...friend. Papa Jim;
You were a second father to me and would give the shirt off your back to anyone if they asked. You truly were a wonderful person and I'm glad I had the honor to know you and be able to call you and Lori, Mom and Dad. You will be missed, but NEVER forgotton.

Dear Lori, Michael and Ryan:
I am so suddened by Jim's passing. I feel so fortunate I was able to see him Sunday. He told me he didn't have it as bad as many others. He said that he had been lucky he had such a wonderful family, friends and that he was able to see his children grow. What a wonderful man.
