James Leonard Olivari

OLIVARI, James Leonard -- July 10, 1927 - July 18, 2003 Long time bay area resident and business owner James Olivari passed away suddenly on July 18, 2003. Born in Gardner, Massachusetts, Jim became a donut maker in New Hampshire in 1954 and owned several donut shops on the Peninsula including The Donut Cottage in Palo Alto on California Ave. from 1969-1985, Foster City Donuts from 1987-1993 and Olivari Donuts in Mt. View from 1990-2001. Jim loved jazz music, Yosemite, and taking rides to the beach. Jim is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years, Jo Olivari, his four daughters, Kim McClure of Stockton, Lisa Mellberg of Palo Alto, Tina Olivari of Santa Clara and Julianne Olivari of Mountain View. He was the proud grandfather of his four wonderful grandchildren Christopher and Kiah McClure and Erik and Ethan Mellberg, father-in-law to Carl McClure, Scott Mellberg and friend to Juventino Luna, sister Helen Lockhart of Massachusetts, sister and brothers-in-law, Lucille Mauro, Wilbur and Anthony Lovell of New Jersey, lifelong friend Edna Knoy of Costa Mesa, & many nieces and nephews.
