Jeanne Felts Obituary

Jeanne Carnes Felts

1920 - 2011

The long goodbye ended with the gentle passing of Jeanne Carnes Felts at the age of 91 on Sunday, October 2, 2011 at l:45 a.m. in San Carlos, CA, from Alzheimers Disease.

Jean was born in San Francisco on January ll, 1920 where she attended school, married Lewis Felts and raised 5 children until 1957 when the family moved to Daly City, Ca.

The legacy of love and devotion to all her children, and their children was her greatest achievement and one that never faltered. Her passion was antique shopping and garage sales. Her memories of her youth were of ballroom dancing. The gift of artistic talent as a caterer lie in the beauty of her hors d'oeuvre trays: a decorative presentation that knew no equal. Her kindness and compassion to all living things included plants, dogs and cats but most especially birds of all sizes of which she had many.

She is preceded in death by husband Lewis in 1980, granddaughter Melissa Felts in 2005, and youngest daughter Shirley in 2010.

A private family celebration to honor her memory is planned. She is survived by: Barbara Renner (Walter) Ronald Felts, Bevery Zierolf (James) Steven Felts. Her grandchildren (Gina (Renner) Fornesi, grand son-in-law- Brian Fornesi, Lesa Renner, Walter Renner, Rhonda Centman, Cheryl Rayo, Raymond Felts, Alexis Felts, Trisha (Felts) Hosley, Marci (Felts) Snider. Great-Grandchildren Gianna, Cristelle and Ava Fornesi, Darien and Nicholas Zannis, Sophia and Julia Renner, Ronnie, Ryan, David and Crystal Centman, Sky Abdullah, Ryland Felts, Nathan and Camryn Hosley, Sean Michael, Gabriel, Jenna and Marisa Snider, Serena Felts and great-great grandson Ruben Centman.

I walked a mile with Pleasure, she chattered all the way but left me none the wiser for all she had to say. I walked a mile with Sorrow and ne'er a word said she, but oh, the things I learned from her when Sorrow walked with me.
